M6 junction 2 to 4 smart motorway: variable mandatory speed limits

Overview

We are keen to have your comments on the implementation of variable mandatory speed limits for the M6 smart motorway scheme between junctions 2 and 4; specifically on how the proposal could affect your organisation or those you represent.

The proposed smart motorway scheme will enable proactive management of the M6 carriageway, including slip roads and motorway to motorway intersections between junctions 2 (the junction with the M69) and 4 (the junction with the M42 and A446) on this major section of motorway.

The consultation will last for a period of 4 weeks commencing on November 15th 2016. It will close on December 13th 2016. Please ensure responses arrive no later than that date.
